There is only a trademark on one side of the tang or shank, no words. The other side reads "George Wostenholm & Sons Sole Manufacturer of Celebrated IXL Cut Throat".
The outer casing seems to be in reasonably good condition, with blemishes consistent with its age.
The blade has a couple of "chips" in it, and is "narrower" than many. There are also several spots of corrosion and discoloration.
