Vintage round brass tray with etched /hand engraved design featuring Chinese Mandarin characters  in garden with etched floral designs 

Scalloped shaped lip to edge circa 1 cm high 

Diameter 25 cms approx 

Height 1.5 cms approx 

Very Good condition - consistent with age. ...photographs do not do justice.

I have polished the tray and it has come up well....."gleaming" polished brass. 

From my research I believe designs like this were exported from China circa late 19th / early 20th century 

Please see photographs as these form part of description, polished before auction, but I think would improve even further with additional polishing.
