Circa 1864 - 1866 stereoview photo of an unidentified brick building with cannons and caissons seen at the left. Photographer is Louis De Planque out of Matamoros, Mexico. He operated two photo galleries during this period. One in Matamoros and the other in Brownsville, Texas just 2 - 3 miles over the border. While I originally thought this may possibly be part of Fort Brown in Brownsville, Texas, a helpful Ebay'er informed me that the more likely location is Fort Ringgold in Rio Grande City (Starr County), Texas. Scarce view.
