Ancient Egypt - Ptolemaic or earlier period.  A fine mummified fish with remains of black detailing to the eyes. Fine provenance.

Condition: In very good overall condition with expected age-related wear and losses.


Provenance: Previously in the collection of J.D.R. Fryer; with old collector's label stating almost certain this antiquity is from the mummified fish tomb at El Gabelein, Egypt and authenticated by the British Museum.
