This Match-Used Ball came directly off the court and was immediately authenticated by a USTA-MeiGray Match-Used Authentication Program representative at the 2014 US Open. Balls were collected directly from the chair umpire, identified, marked with artificial DNA ink unique to the USTA-MGG Program, and encapsulated to ensure authenticity. For purposes of identification, every official ball used at the US Open is stamped Wilson US Open. Balls used in men’s matches are also stamped US Open ‘14 in black. Balls used in women’s matches are also stamped US Open ’14 in red. Every Match-Used Ball is individually serial numbered and will come with a USTA-MGG Letter of Authenticity. |
