Absolutely gorgeous long vintage robe by Christian Dior. Pale pink pure cotton (very soft and sheer!) with lavish white lace trims. Wrapover style, lace yoke and neckline with pearl rosettes, 3/4 sleeves with lace cuffs, side pockets, matching sash belt, curved hem. Ankle length. Medium - suits 32-40"-ish bust. LUXURY DRESSING GOWN/ROBE

This is a lovely ankle-length vintage dressing gown/robe by Christian Dior.

 

In pale pink, it is made from 100% pure cotton, so it's light, soft and rather sheer. It is trimmed with lots of delicate white Dior lace. N.B. The photos make the robe look a peachy shade but it's actually pink! The next-to-last photo of the belt shows the correct pink shade best.

 

The robe is a classic wrapover style, with 3/4 sleeves. These have panels of sheer inset lace and frilled lace cuffs. The yoke  is beautifully worked, with panels of embroidered cutwork cotton, edged with a slotted pink satin ribbon, and the neckline has a deep border of sheer inset lace. To each side are two lacy ribbon rosettes with pink rose and pearl centres - a typical Dior feature!

 

The robe has concealed pockets in the side seams and a matching long sash belt. The front edges are trimmed with dainty lace and this continues round onto the curved hemline. The sheer cotton drapes perfectly - deliciously soft and comfortable to wear!

 

Size notes: the robe is labelled Medium and is generously cut so it will fit a range of sizes. Measured flat, it's about 42" at bust level so will fit all sizes below that, probably best for 34-40"-ish bust. It's 50" long, shoulder to hem - that would be ankle length on me, less on someone taller...

 

The robe is 'new' old stock and in excellent condition, with crisp, original Christian Dior labels inside. There's a tiny hole on the sash belt (see photo) but otherwise it is pristine! (It has been laundered for freshness.)

 

A rare thing: this is a luxury dressing gown that is also comfortable and practical to wear. It looks wonderful on - stylish, feminine and unmistakably Dior! Highly recommended.
