An original Carl Backofen cabinet photo of Princess Alix of Hess (future Empress Alexandra Feodorovna of Russia) and Princess Irene of Hess.  Size approximately 6.5"x4" (164mmx106mm).
In good condition for its age with one small pencil mark (cross) to the front top left corner (see image above).
