Recent estate find. Measures just over 2” wide. Weighs 111 grams. The movement is marked Hampden Watch Co., 17 Jewels, and has the serial number 3101208. The case is marked Illinois Watch Case Co., Nickel Elgin USA.

I wound the watch a bit, gave it a good shake, and nothing happened. I cannot get the watch to run in any position. It does not work. I am offering the watch for parts or restoration.

I am able to set the time. The dial looks good with no cracks – it has some dirtiness. The center area where the hands are connected is scratched. The crystal has some scratching, dullness, a few bites, and some edge wear.

The case has a nasty amount of scratching, dullness, discoloration and related surface wear throughout. On the side, the bottom portion, there’s a 1/4” area with small dings (pictured). There are a few more related blemishes to the side. The backing has a couple faint dings near the center – they are next to each other and cover a 1/2” area. The worn crown has brass showing.

All is well represented in the provided photos, so please help me out by closely reviewing the pics to best judge what you are bidding on.
