Offering this original Inuit Serpentine sculpture carving depicting a figure with a drum and drumstick. It was carved by Pavia Thorsen from Greenland, has the original Gallery paper tag attached and is also signed on the bottom as shown. The sculpture is in very good condition for its age as pictured with the stone having natural color variations and inclusions with natural lines also pictured. The drum was carved separately and added to the sculpture as it was made. The drum also has a "wear" spot on the top center and that also appears to have been intentionally made that way. It measures 6 inches high, is about 2 3/4 inches long on the sides and about 2 inches wide. Attached tag also has a date of 12/78. Beautiful and one of a king sculpture. Thanks for looking.
