Torsade Absinthe Glass This mouth-blown, reproduction Torsade
(twisted in French) absinthe glass was originally made for use in bars
and bistros, and is thought to be the most popular style of pre-ban
absinthe bar glass (before 1915). To this day, it is the most commonly
found antique absinthe glass throughout France. These glasses also tends to
feature a slightly larger reservoir than other antique absinthe glasses. Purchase includes glass and sugar only. Other items in photos are not included.
Also included in the purchase are European wrapped sugar cubes. Sugar was almost always used in preparing a traditional French/Swiss absinthe during the pre-ban era (before 1915). Meaning, it was added to absinthe by pouring (or dripping) cold water onto the sugar, allowing it to dissolve before falling into the high alcohol content absinthe. And because the amount of sugar added was determined by the drinker, like adding sugar to coffee. Some prefer more or less than others. Absinthe is always made to one's own liking.
