This sale is for a brand new, unissued, US Marine Corps Reversible MARPAT and Coyote Brown poncho, built in speculation of a Contract for the Marine Corps, which this manufacturer did not win. The material used in these ponchos was furnished by the US Marine Corps contracting office and is the official USMC MARPAT woodland green pattern on one side, with rip-stop nylon and coated nylon on the other side in Coyote brown color. There are a number of the trademarked USMC Eagle-Globe-Anchor designs imbedded within the camouflage pattern of the poncho. This is not some cheap off-shore knock off item. If a seller is advertising MARPAT poncho, and theirs does not have the small USMC and the Eagle-Globe-Anchor randomly appearing within the camouflage pattern it is not MARPAT (See photo 5). Mine were manufactured and offered by an American Department of Defense Contractor located in the United States of America, built by tax paying American Citizens. They were not awarded the contract, because the finish to the seams where the draw-string passes through was not "pretty and smooth" (see photo 3) However,  these ponchos are water-repellant and free of tears, pinholes and rips. There is also NO care and cleaning instructions stamped in the corner-inside of this poncho, so I will say wash the poncho with a mild detergent, in cool water, brush imbedded dirt or soil with a soft nylon bristle brush, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to air dry. Do not dry the poncho in a clothes dryer.

Photo 2, if you click and go to supersize to the center of the poncho, it will show the cross-stitching which shows as a close-up in photo 3  This stitched section is where the waist cord passes through a piece of material which is sewn to the back side of the poncho and inside this small piece of nylon material is a small grommet, which the lace cord passes through. There are two of these nylon pieces which are sewn on the front of the poncho and the material is covered with a waterproof sealant. It is not what I would call pretty, but it is waterproof. The poncho itself is cut out of one piece of material, a "head and neck hole" is cut in the center of this poncho, a hood is sewn to this area and once again the stitches are waterproof sealed. Basically, only one piece of material is used to construct the major portion of the poncho. There are not two pieces sewn together, irregardless of what you might think you see in my unaltered, clear photos. Shadows could also play tricks on your eyes in my photos. I have been deluged (bombarded) with questions about "tears, rips, repairs, joined together pieces, finish etc. etc." Doggone it, they are brand new ponchos. Look at my 9,000 plus sales. I am not here to play games.

This poncho is NOT made by the current USMC contractor. I will not reveal whom makes them, but will assure you they are made in America by a current Department of Defense Contractor. I have sold over 800 of these ponchos on eBay and not ONE single complaint has ever been made on them. None-Nata-Nicht-Zip-Kein-Nyet-Zero!

Size is approximately 60x80 inches, MILSPEC Snaps and grommets around the edges, waist tie down cord, all seams are waterproof sealed. Weight is approximately 1 pound 11 ounces.

This is the last of the run, when these are gone, no more likely!
