You are looking at a custom tour pack lid and base, unique to others on the market. These are 100% handmade. The molds used to create this base produced by a CNC machine (Computer Numerical Controlled). Our products are not the typical machine made fiberglass, loose fibers mixed with glue, then compressed into a mold. Loose fibers will crack and shatter with light impact. Our fibers are not loose. Three layers of whole sheet fiber & potent resin are layered for this sturdy creation. There are no lid and base comparable to ours on the market. Our products are hand polished so our finish is smooth--never rough. Our tour pack lid and base will not warp because we use the strongest resin available and our skilled artisans follow a strenuous procedure to ensure warping will not occur.
Our Tour pack lid and base take over 6 hours to produce one . ABS plastic is produced from an injection machine which can produce one in 3 minutes. ABS plastic is known to have a smooth finish, but the finish on our fiberglass lid and base are comparable. Our lid and base are smooth like ABS plastic and are almost as strong as metal.
Fits up to 2013 tour pak racks. Does not fit 2014+ tour pak racks.
