This superb antique sculptor/ statue dates from the 1930s/40s, and is cast exactly the same as a bronze, but I believe the metal is aluminium, a medium often used in the art deco period. There are some markings and numbers impressed to base, but undecipherable.

A very nice quality cast statue, of I believe a representation of Hercules fighting a lion. Really attractive statue with genuine art deco feel to it, it is in very nice original used condition, as photos show displays superbly, and would make an ideal Christmas present/ gift. It measures approximately 11 inches/ 26 cm in height, by 5 inches/ 12 cm across the base, and weighs 2 kilos.
