NEWS!!!!!  The Chicago tribune did a story about me. Here are a few of the things they had to say

Ted Capell has a garage full of memories in Arizona. Yours might be among them.

By Alan Sutton

Tribune staff reporter

The yearbook has a bright yellow cover decorated with drawings of Snoopy, Lucy Van Pelt and Charlie Brown. It is a 40-year-old record of the activities at Niles Township High School East in Skokie.

Niles East no longer exists anywhere but in minds like mine. Maybe that's why I yearned for a copy of "Reflections" from 1966 and spent a couple of years plugging "Niles East" and "yearbook" into a search engine on eBay nearly every week, hoping the Internet bazaar would turn up something I lost long ago.

The book was listed by "tcapell" of Mesa, Ariz., an eBay seller with more than 10,000 transactions and a positive feedback rating of 99.3 percent from happy customers.

So what's "tcapell" doing with a 40-year-old yearbook from Skokie, a 1,829-mile drive away? I e-mailed and asked. "I have more than 4,000 yearbooks," Ted Capell replied. He explained that he entered into his modest business of reselling yearbooks in 1999 for almost the same reason that brought me to him.

"I went to my 25-year class reunion," Capell said. "I graduated high school a year early, and I never got my senior class yearbook. All my fellow students had theirs."

Capell attended Carl Hayden High School in Phoenix and was in the Class of 1974. He was smart enough to graduate a year early and, as it turns out, not smart enough to realize he should have bought that yearbook while he was a college freshman at Arizona State University.”

Since the investment in all these yearbooks could never be recouped Mr. Capell simply sets the price of each book at the price of a dinner out for two. Which seems a fitting price for some of our most precious memories!

The book arrived today.  I found my Great-Uncle's picture and bio and it brought back a lot of memories from years ago.  I was only a teenager when he passed away in 1969, but he was always very special to me.  I'm glad you and I crossed paths, giving me the opportunity to reach back into the past.

                                                                      Regards,

                                                                        Sam.

Finally I can show my kids what I looked like in school---Mike

Hello, My name is Ruth and I was born and raised in Eureka California. I am from a family of 12 children, and I am lucky number 10! I was not given the opportunity to purchase any yearbooks from my school years as we were too poor. I have regretted this for many years and have often wanted to go down memory lane and smell the roses again. Unfortunately, I did not graduate High school. My mother had a life threatening heart attack, and I had to stay home and watch the two younger children ages 6 and 9. . I am sure you have heard many heart wrenching testimonials, but this one is true
