Original Northern Art Oil Painting on Canvas by Jim Glennie

This is one of a collection of brilliant Jim Glennie Paintings I am selling. (Please see my other auctions for the remainder.) What a great way to celebrate the Northern Art.

This contemporary painting which is oil on stretched canvas  measures 40cm x 30cm, and is in excellent condition with lovely vibrant colours.

James Glennie is from Northern Ireland and is a self taught artist who happened across a box of paints while doing his recycling job and has been painting sucessfully ever since.  Whilst naive at first glance, you quickly realise that there is considerable skill in his use of perspective, light and impasto to produce paintings that have an immediate appeal.In every painting there are a multitude of little vignettes to enjoy and excite the eye.Whilst painting a large number of subjects he particularly enjoys paying his own tribute to LS Lowry , and I think you will agree that he is able to capture the same charm as Lowry did.

You are bidding on the painting shown above , I have taken lots of supersize photos of the actual painting so you can fully evaluate it. It is signed of course by the artist.
