Clarence Leonard ''Kelly'' Johnson [1910 1990] was an American systems and aeronautical engineer who is recognized for his contributions to a series of important aircraft designed, most notably the Lockhead SR-71 Blackbird. Johnson was the team leader of the Lockheed Skunk Works and played a leading role in the design of over forty aircraft and is considered one of the most important and influential aircraft engineers in the history of aviation. Listed for auction is a photograph signed by Clarence Leonard Johnson. The photograph is a formal portrait of him with one of his signature aircraft and the autograph is dedicated and signed ''Best wishes  from C.L ''Kelly'' Johnson'' in black pen. The photograph is a quality print which measures 8.00 x 10.00 inches and is in fine condition with trivial edge wear on the white border. The autograph of Kelly Johnson is not common, the example offered is authentic and the photograph is a desirable example of the prominent aviation pioneer.
