A stunning antique French jacquard woven ciel de lit or bed canopy curtain panel.  Art Nouveau c1890.  In excellent antique condition with no holes or marks, fading in areas where it has been draped please see all photographs.  A riot of colours of russets, peaches and cream with huge stylised orchid blooms and foilage in a repeat pattern - one looms length of continuous fabric.  Hemmed to the bottom with slight gathered pin tucks to the top and 9 cotton hanging tabs that have seen better days and could be easily replaced.  To one outside edge there was once a pretty wool bobble trim - this has all but disappeared, but again could be replaced with something similar.  Rare to find such a large amount of this type of fabric.  I have taken photographs with and without the flash on my camera to give you a better idea of the colours.  Could be added to an existing textile collection,  re-purpose as two panels, cushions etc.  1.2 kilos in weight before packing.
