The superb Oxford Diecast 1/43 Ford Thames 400E Van in the livery of HMV-His Master's Voice

Oxford says: It’s amazing to realize that HMV, whose address is printed on our highly decorative two-tone blue delivery van is still at 363 Oxford Street to this day!  The light commercial Ford 400E was first introduced in 1957 and was in production until 1965, during which time over 187,000 rolled off the production line.  It came in several versions according to the needs of the customer but here we see it, registered VBY 677,  with specially applied roof boards advertising that music lovers can experience Stereo – obviously  at the time a great step forward in the age of sound reproduction – by going along to the HMV Oxford Street store.  The famous HMV logo featuring that lovable Terrier ‘Nipper’ has been their world-renowned trademark over the years and is reproduced on our model in fine detail, showing him with his eyes and ears tuned to the gramophone.  Even though Nipper lived from 1884-1895, his image has become immortal and his legend lives on. His presence on the side doors of our 1:43 scale Ford Van rounds off the model superbly.

The model, (Oxford Diecast no.FDE013) measures just over 3 1/2" (90mm) in length, & is presented on a display plinth with a clear display case & card sleeve.

It is new, mint & boxed.
