Special Hobby 1/72 SH72261 Messerschmitt Me263V-1 with Scheuch Schlepper

 The Messerschmitt Me163 was a rocket powered interceptor built for the Luftwaffe to attack allied bombers. It proved to be very fast and a very high climb rate, which made it almost immune from allied fighters. It was however, powered by a highly explosive fuel mix which often proved fatal to the pilot. It also only carried enough fuel for about 7 minutes of powered flight.

Special Hobby is a Czech based manufacturer and this is their 1/72 Me163 kit.  This is a detailed multimedia kit, consisting of mostly injection moulded plastic parts but with additional resin and photo etch metal parts. As a bonus a resin and plastic kit of Scheuch Schlepper is included, these were used to tow the aircraft on the ground, this makes modelling a diorama possible.
