English - dating from the beginning of the 20th century.
The tooled dark blue/black Moroccan leather case contains a pair of rectangular cut glass cologne bottles - both examples are compete with the original glass stoppers and threaded brass ferrules to the neck areas. The polished outer brass caps are wadding lined - retaining the stoppers in position when in place. Internally threaded, the caps correspond with the fixed ferrules to the bottle necks.
The bottles are finished with a band of cut / etched geometric decoration below the shoulders. One example is finished with red enamel, the second blue enamel finished - the decoration of chequer-board appearance.
Overall height, case - 4 1/4" (108mm).
Total weight - 204 grams
Condition - Very Good. No cracks or dents. No repairs. Minor surface marks - consistent with genuine age and usage. Natural colour and patina, (some cologne residue present).
