La salopette termica Omloop Thermal è tagliata appena sopra al ginocchio per mantenerti più al caldo della classica salopette e sentirti meno costretto rispetto al bermuda. Costruita in Thermoflex per un eccezionale calore al pari dell'elasticità e della traspirabilità.
Questa innovazione è stata vista la prima volta nel 2009 quando il tester Jeremy Hunt del Team Cervélo ha corso la Omloop Het Nieuwsblad con delle ginocchiere tagliate all'altezza del ginocchio. Ci sono voluti 6 anni per arrivarci ma nel 2015 una mezza dozzina di ciclisti hanno intrapreso la Omloop con la stessa soluzione.
Per ottenere la salopette Omloop Castelli ha lavorato sui materiali affinché avessero un taglio morbido sul retro del ginocchio che non desse fastidio, ed iniziò quindi a far testare molti prototipi. Ancora una volta i ragazzi che sviluppano i nuovi prodotti hanno rinnovato il modo di vestire in bici. Si tratta di un capo significativamente più caldo di una salopette termica ma non è pesante come un bermuda a 3/4. Capirai presto perchè i professionisti l'hanno apprezzato, fin dalla prima volta che la indosserai col clima fresco.

This innovation was first seen in 2009 when Cervélo Test Team rider Jeremy Hunt rode the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad in knee warmers that he had cut to knee length. It took six years for it to catch on, but then half a dozen or so riders starting the 2015 Omloop with that same look.
To achieve the Omloop bib short Castelli engineered a fabric that allowed for a soft raw edge at the back of the knee that won’t cut into you, and started riding prototypes. Once again the guys who do this for a living have come up with a new way to dress. It’s significantly warmer than a thermal short but doesn’t feel overdressed like a 3/4 knicker. You will soon realise that the pros are onto something when you try them for the first time in cooler weather.
