This is a Japanese Metal Pen Tray. Made with copper over a base lead-type metal and decorated with a Noh Mask, Dragon and Symbols. It measures 23cm in length.
A Copper & Base Metal Example - a Vintage Reproduction, made after a Bronze Original in style, it has areas of copper missing revealling base metal especially to the rear, also colour variations there is a signature to the upper surafce and a larger one to the base, please refer to photographs for type.
