Chinese, 清朝 (Qing Dynasty) - dating from the 19th century.

Of copper construction, raised in the manner of a compressed baluster form bottle. The bottle rests on an oval collet type foot. This example stands offset from the vertical.

The bottle is complete with the original stopper - the stopper incorporating the original copper snuff spoon.

Shaped and applied wire cloisons create floral forms, each one of which is polychrome enamelled.

Overall height - 2 7/8" (73mm), max width - 2 1/4" (57mm), depth - 5/8" (16mm).

Weight - 52 grams.

Condition - Good. An old repair to the red enamel, one shoulder area - image 5. Signs of wear from genuine age and usage. No dents and no cracks. Natural colour and patina.
