Up for sale is this wonderful cookie jar. It is unmarked but was made by California Originals which was in business from 1944-1982. This cookie jar is pictured on page 43 of An Illustrated Value Guide to Cookie Jars Book II. This cookie jar is called Elves’ School House. It features a greenish turquoise glazed color roof for the lid and two elves or pixies on the front next to a sign that says School House. The piece measures 12” tall or 9” wide. It is in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or damage. The elves are hand painted and are in good condition. Don’t overlook this very unique cookie jar from a local estate.
