 ANCIENT SYRO-HITTITE FIGURAL Rattle

Rare Finest Quality Ancient Syro-Hittite Pottery Figural Rattle. Truly an unusual rare piece which features a globular body with a long narrow neck/handle which terminates with  a characteristic bird-like head finial--large donut shaped eyes, large aquiline nose. Figure wears a choker necklace.  Body pierced several times for the rattle feature.

Hand-formed buff terracotta ~ hollow.  Truly an unusual piece with excellent eye appeal.
