Description

A well painted oil on canvas painting by the British artist B Dayrell (Fl. 1853-1858) depicting a horse and some dogs in a stable. This artist specialised in painting old English game and hunting subjects.

Frame:

Set in an a later gilt wooden frame.

Signature:

Lower right and dated 1853.

Provenance:

Private collection.

Condition:

Painting and frame are both in very good condition.

Measurements:

Painting measures 45 x 32cm and the overall frame 60 x 47cm.
