- Item : This is a lovely vintage sailing ship model in a Stewart's glass Liquor bottle
- Measurements : The bottle is 24 cm long and 9.5 cm high
- Condition : The bottle has a few imperfections, otherwise it is in excellent condition.
Further information : Building a ship in a bottle is an old form of maritime Folk Art.
The way to put a ship in a bottle is to raise it up to full height when the ship is inside the bottle. Masts and sails are built separately and then attached to the hull of the ship with strings so the masts can lie flat. The ship is then placed inside the bottle and the masts are pulled up using the strings attached to the masts.
