The L-39 is a Czech built 2 seat Jet trainer aircraft similar to the BAe Hawk. It serves as a pilot and weapons trainer for the former Warsaw pact countries as well as many middle eastern air forces. It is also a popular plane for air displays and even air racing.

Eduard are a Czech based manufacturer famed for the model accessories. They have in the last few years released a successful range of kits. Their Profipack editions come with a colour Zoom etch set, a canopy mask and several marking options.

This is Eduard's L-39C Albatros 1/72 Profipack kit and it looks very nice. The model features fine engraved panel lines and is very crisp and cleanly moulded. There are markings for 4 plans from the Czech, Russian and Lithuanian Air Forces.
