Vtg MEITO CHINA Yellow Hand Painted Childs Toy 2 Teapot Tea Set w Cup / Saucer

Up for sale is a bright, cheerful yellow hand painted Japanese MEITO CHINA children's toy 10 piece tea set.  There are 2 matching teapots that are 3.25" at their widest diameter (not counting handle and spout) and 3.25" tall to the top of the lid knob.  There are two 4.5" diameter plates that could be underplates for the teapots or play snack plates.  The cups are 2.25" in diameter and 1.25" tall.  One cup has a 3/4" single hairline as in the photo.  The saucers are 3.75" in diameter.  One snack plate is missing a little speck of yellow color.  I purchased the set at an estate auction and am uncertain of the age but believe it to be 1960s / 1970s.
