Description:
A very fine antique late 19th Century Victorian mixed metal solid silver hallmarked brooch, beautifully decorated in the aesthetic manner with inlaid rose gold flowers and yellow gold leaves, within a raised pierced basket with rose gold rim.
The brooch is secured with a standard 'C' clasp.
The back of the brooch is hallmarked as follows:
Makers Mark: A.L.C possibly for Alfred James Cheshire
Silver grade: Lion passant mark for Sterling 925 Silver
Assay office: Birmingham
Date letter: (q) 1890
