1st US CD (from 1984): The Jacksons (w/Michael Jackson) Destiny, Epic EK 35552.  This is the original CD release from late 1984, manufactured by the then brand new DADC plant (owned by CBS/Sony Japan and US Columbia) for the US market.  Please note that there is no "upside-down triangle" symbol underneath the catalog number at the right side of the disc.  This dates the disc to late 1984 and is one of the earliest CDs ever manufactured by US DADC CD manufacturing plant.  The matrix ends with "11A3".    

Disc:  NM, like new; under a normal light, I cannot see any marks on the disc; under two strong lights, I cannot see any marks.  [PLEASE NOTE that any marks that may appear in the super sized photos below are lint, dust and camera flash and are not scratches or other blemishes.]

Inserts:  NM, clean, crisp and solid.

Jewel case/disc tray:  The original "smooth-sided" jewel case shows a few light handling marks; the original disc tray is clean with all teeth intact.


More than 50% of my buyers are located outside of the United States, and I welcome international buyers. However, I still reserve the right to refuse to honor bids by buyers from countries where shipment routinely gets lost, damaged or delayed and buyers who have a pattern of nonpayment or negative feedback. GRADING POLICY FOR CDs:  I will try to describe the jewel case, front artwork insert, back J-card insert, and the CD as well as I can.  I will also try to show photos of those areas of the insert and/or CD that I think would be of special interest to the potential buyer (such as significant wear, tear, crease, writing, sticker, cutout, saw mark, misprint, etc.).  As grading can be subjective, please focus more on the photos and my description rather than the grading.  [PLEASE NOTE that I will not accept returns of SEALED CDs and I will not refund any part of your payment for a SEALED CD.]

SHIPPING POLICY: I will NOT be responsible for UNINSURED items lost, damaged or delayed during transit. If you would like to pay for insurance, please contact me regarding the cost.

For U.S. destinations, the shipping cost for 1 CD will be $3 for everyone in the United States. For each additional CD, add $0.50 for each for up to 4 CDs. (Each CD mailer will fit up to 4 CDs.)  For a package of more than 4 CDs, the package will be mailed inside a LP mailer (which weighs about the same as 2 CDs).  Please send me a message regarding the actual cost of any packages containing more than 4 CDs.
