Typhoo Tea Set of the very rare Wallchart (with a full set of cards attached), five replacement cards (loose) and the ANNUAL-STYLE BOOK

In 1976, during the Tom Baker era of Doctor Who, you could collect this great set of cards by purchasing packs of Ty-phoo Tea and you could also send away for the Wallchart and annual-style book. These items are becoming hard to find – especially the wallchart!

The main (first) photo with this listing shows the wallchart with a full set of attached cards, the book and 5 replacement unattached cards.

THE WALLCHART:

This originally came folded into eight and measures approximately 50 by 76cm when opened. There are spaces in the bottom third of the wallchart to attach the cards and this one has a full set of 12 cards attached. Although showing signs of age, the front of the wallchart still looks good. The back of the poster has had sellotape (which has yellowed with age) attached in an attempt to protect the deep folds (see the last image). Since the card number 3 (The TARDIS) was attached, the poster has only been folded into four so this card hasn't been folded - unlike card numbers 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6. Replacement cards for these five are included however.

THE BOOK:

The annual-style book has 64 pages and is packed full of strip stories, text stories and features (many about the monsters including the Sea Devils, K1 Robot, Ice Warriors, Davros, Alpha Centauri, Draconians, Cybermen). Despite some minor damage to the corners, the book is in good condition (see the second photo - a scan of the front). The crossword has not been completed and there is no other writing in (or on) the book. The book has much better content than the annuals of the same era!

THE CARDS:

As well as the full set of 12 cards already attached to the wallchart, 5 other cards are also included (as possible replacements for the ones which have been folded on the wallchart). Each card is octagonal and measures 5.5 by 8cm approximately and they are all genuine originals from 1976 (not the poor quality reproductions which are frequently sold on eBay - mostly from the USA). The 12 cards in the set are: No.1 DOCTOR WHO (Tom Baker), No.2 SARAH JANE SMITH, No.3 THE TARDIS, No.4 ALPHA CENTAURI, No.5 DAVROS, No.6 SEA DEVILS, No.7 DALEKS, No.8 GIANT ROBOT, No.9 ZYGON, No.10 KRYNOID, No.11 ICE WARRIOR, No.12 CYBERMAN.

NB. The 5 unattached cards have no evidence of previously being glued to a wallchart, although number 2 has some discolouration through age and number 6 is slightly miscut (see the third photo - a scan of the five cards).
