Right next to Denver is Englewood, and this great old horse car was on south Broadway in Englewood. The scan shows the condition, and that's pretty nice. Not perfectly flat on the top and lower edge, but it doesn't hurt the card. Someone wrote Nov. 1907 on the end, and the card is unused. It has a CYKO STAMP BACK (1904-1920s) so the 1907 fits right in. Even though this horse card was retired in 1910 it has been a great memory in Englewood history. Where was the horse handler? Maybe he took this photograph and sold it to the riders. That's just a guess on my part, but he is missing in the photo. This was the end of the line, on the south. The horse would pull the car & passengers up the hill, then ride back down. Just in time to do it all over again. Sharp old photo but very few passengers on that trip.There were many colored printed copies similar to this photo postcard, but, photos were not that common. Usually they are one of a kind, with different riders etc.  An authentic and old photo postcard. GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC & OLD!
