Description: Reproduction Hallicrafters S38A Radio Bottom. This auction is for a brand new, laser cut, reproduction Hallicrafters S38A radio bottom cover. This cover is cut from 1/16" thick, black fiberboard (very sturdy - comparable in color and thickness to original material).
Retro-Tronics has undertaken to reproduce the radio backs - and now radio bottoms - you need to complete your restorations. No longer do you need to hand cut/hack/mangle a radio back to complete your restoration. We carefully design our radio backs from originals in a modern CAD system that we use to drive laser equipment. The result is an exact replica. These replicas can be cut in a variety of materials, including hardboard, cardboard, and specialty boards. In the coming months you will see Retro-tronics reproduce the radio backs you want. If we don't have it, just ask!
