Mary Philbin was screen actress of the silent era, probably best remembered for her role as
 Christine Daae in the 1925 film The Phantom of the Opera opposite Lon Chaney and as Dea in
 The Man Who Laughs (1928) starring Conrad Veidt. She was a Wampas Baby Star of 1922.
