This is not the loudest whistle in the world, but more than adequate for most situations. It has been my experience that the harder you are able to blow, the louder it gets. That being said, my young grandchildren are fully capable of causing my ears to ring if they blow one in the same room with me. It has the advantage of both a lanyard hole and a clip for easy attachment to a life vest or pack. There truly is no better whistle for the price. Nevertheless, if you are dissatisfied, you may return for a full refund.
