This antique watch has black Arabic numerals printed on a white face. The Elgin watchmaker name is written across the face. There is a 60 second counter at the base with black Arabic numbers. A very slight hairline fracture can be seen to the left of the 60 second counter in the enlarged photographs. The serial number 18614493 is marked on the movement, which dates this piece to 1915. The movement displays an Elgin Natl Watch Co. U.S.A. mark and is stamped 17 Jewels. The crystal of the pocket watch is in good condition and has very little surface wear. The inside of the back casing is stamped Elgin Giani Watch Case cc 14k 244154 to indicate the maker, gold purity, and the serial number of the case. The sides of the case have a crisp wheat pattern design, while the back features the monogram RJF in italicized script. The details of this piece are in great condition and only show the slightest of surface wear. This is a beautiful vintage piece, that could be worn on a watch chain or on a chain necklace!
