There have been many great changes since man first taught himself to use tools, and, in each generation to improve them. In certain periods, however, changes have occurred much more rapidly than in others, and during such times we can truly speak of revolution. One such period in British history was between 1760 and 1860 when Great Britain changed from a mainly agricultural country into a mainly industrial one. This might be called "the Age of Steam Power".
