Omega sagt über sich : „ …Unser Pioniergeist hat uns bis auf den Mond geführt, uns dabei geholfen, die Tiefen des Ozeans zu erobern und uns zum Zeitnehmer bei den bedeutendsten Sportereignissen der Welt gemacht. Gleichzeitig haben wir immer neue Präzisionsrekorde aufgestellt und die mechanische Uhrmacherei seit 1848 ständig neu definiert!“ 1848 eröffnete der 23-jährige Louis Brandt in La Chaux-de-Fonds eine Werkstatt zum Zusammenbauen von Uhren. 1879 bauen seine beiden Söhne diese Werkstatt zu einer Manufaktur aus. 1885 wird das Kaliber „Labrador“ mit einer täglichen Abweichung von weniger als 30 Sekunden entwickelt, 1892 kam die erste Uhr mit Minutenrepetition auf den Markt und 1932 fungierte Omega erstmals bei den Olympischen Spielen als offizieller Zeitnehmer. Die bekanntesten Modelle sind: Constellation, Planet Ocean, Speedmaster, Seamaster und De Ville.

Characteristics and remarks
Omega states about itself: "... our pioneering spirit led us up to the moon, helped us to conquer the depths of the oceans and made us timekeeper at the greatest sporting events of the world. At the same time we set precision records over and over again and redefined the mechanical watchmaking constantly since 1848!"
In 1848, the 23-years old Louis Brandt established a workshop for building watches in La Chaux-de-Fonds. In 1879 his two sons expanded the workshop into a factory. The calibre "labrador", having a daily divergency of less than 30 seconds, was developed in 1885 and in 1892 the first watch with minute repetition that strikes hours, quarters and minutes by pressing a trigger was brought onto the market. In the Olympic Games in 1932 Omega served as an official timekeeper for the first time. From that time on Omega was one of the most renowned watch manufacturers of the world.

If the watch has been tested for water resistance, detailed infomation about the time and pressure used in the test can be found on the enclosed protocol. According to DIN 8310, a watch's water resistance is not permanently guaranteed. It is affected by the aging of gaskets or deformation of watch parts over the course of time. Please refer to the enclosed information about water resistance and have a look at the test certificate. In case there is no infomation on any specified water resistance level, the watch has not been tested by us.
