          Offered in this auction today we have this absolutely beautiful original fully restored Truetone Model D-2716 dark chocolate marbled pattern colored Bakelite AC/DC, AM all tube radio "Postwar" 1946. This is a Stunning Deco beauty with a 6 tube clean chassis.The stunning cabinet exhibits no scratches,dings,dullness anywhere! The dial etching is perfect and the dial cover is original and clean along with the deco knobs,outstanding grill and push-buttons that work freely and do not stick!

            The rear cover is almost always missing, torn, or falling apart on this model so it was necessary to repair all weak areas to re-fit the back to original! This radio is exhibiting the original deep chocolate swirling marbled Bakelite finish from the factory that is just plain gorgeous! The set Plays the AM band only. Stunning mirror finish that speaks for itself!  

      The power cord is a modern replacement in the interest of safety,the original speaker had a bad cone and needed to be replaced with a good used speaker with a perfect cone,the set sounds clean and strong with no buzzing,or rattle from the speaker. Beautiful original working Deco postwar with strong mellow static free clean TUBE audio and Classic design, and a collectors favorite!

                    All of the pushbuttons work as designed,and if you want to set them for your local stations i would not recommend it unless you have the detailed instructions to do so. The radio can be tuned easily from the large manual tuning knob on the right side to select your favorite am broadcasts. If you value original Art deco solid Bakelite classics from the postwar 40s, this is for you! Fully bench tested and awaiting a new home or office!
