S.L.A. Marshall (born Samuel Lyman Atwood Marshall) was a chief U.S. Army combat historian 
during WWII and the Korean War. His best-known and most controversal book was "Men Against Fire". 



Frank Capra was an Italian-American director, winner of three Best Director Academy Awards:

It Happened One night (1934), Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), You Can't Take It With You (1938).

Film career from 1926-1961. Attended Caltech (then Thorpe College of Technology). He studied
 chemical engineering; graduated 1918. 

Capra was assigned to work directly under Chief of Staff
George C. Marshall and directed or co-directed seven documentary WWII information films.
