The 2013 MotoGP Season saw Marc Marquez take his
first ever MotoGP Championship in his rookie year - the youngest
rider ever to do so. Marquez took the MotoGP paddock by storm,
winning six races, finishing on the podium in 18 different rounds,
qualifying on pole at nine of those rounds and setting eleven fastest
laps of the race. In the 17th round of the 2013 MotoGP Championship in Motegi
he brought with him a special graphic helmet with a special Japanese flag
design in honor of Honda's home race and for good luck as he looked to clinch
the championship title.
