PLEASE NOTE: I have just received some excellent quality clocks from a private collection all of which have been well looked after all of which will be listed over the next few weeks. Some excellent quality clocks this being one of them 



First of all:- I would like to say that this clock looks 1000 times better in the flesh. The pictures do not do this clock justice at all

This clock is a very very nice exceptional french embossed Bronze ormolu 8 day striking cartel wall clock, it has its amazing look to it all in great condition for age, the case has its original ormolu finish to it which still has a superb look and colour to it as you can see from the pictures and is of the highest quality imaginable. I have seen a lot of cartel wall clocks and this is one of the best quality ones i have seen 

Case is constructed from a good quality solid bronze and has some of the best embossed works i have seen on a clock very fine very and of high quality with its original ormolu finish

 

The case has a superb cartel design which looks absolutely superb with a cherub father of time figure to the top and various embossed motifs decorating the high quality thick case.

The embossed decoration is all in stunning condition with no damage, the ormolu finish displays beautifully and is exactly how you want to see it

It has a beautiful large porcelain dial with arabic numerals, the dial is in superb original condition with original hands protected by its convex glass and hinged bezel door

The clock has an 8 day french bell striking movement with an anchor escapement, the movement is in full working order keeping good time and striking the bell exactly how it should and comes with its french pendulum and a new winding key and has been cleaned and serviced recently

 

The clock measures 17.5 inches high x 7.75 inches wide x 5 inches deep

This is a perfect investment clock and a beautiful display piece and an extremely rare bronze ormolu cartel wall clock which i am sure you would agree. Looks absoultely fantastic wherever it is displayed
