Hello, I have for sale a piece of Authentic Japanese silk kimono fabricThis fabric is a Beautifully soft and Supple medium weight silk in Red Graduating to Purple. Printed on are top Butterflies, Chrysanthemum, Blossom, Pine Trees and Foliage. Woven into the silk is a pattern of small Blossom. This Silk has also been Highlighted in Gold Dyes and Glitters. Its dimensions are 44 inches by 14 inches. (111cm x 37cm).
This Silk could be made into gorgeous wall hangings for example!.
This fabric was intended for use in kimono but just tacked together and not used, as a consequence there are tiny stitch holes at the margins where I have unpicked it.
This fabric is in very good vintage condition. Please note that this silk is screen printed an the print is a little sticky due to age. There is also some transfer. Also please note I have not ironed this piece of silk.
