NOKIA 8800 Diamond

Heyerdahl design for NOKIA

Norwegian jeweller designer Thomas Heyerdahl have created an exclusive handset and headset encrusted with 182 diamonds fro NOKIA in China. The exceptional designer phone has been named Nokia 8800 Diamond Arte and combines leading mobile technology from Nokia with the beautiful design esthetics of Heyerdahl Jewellery design.

- Our goal was to design an elegant set where the diamonds would add an exclusive touch. The diamonds enhance an already clean and sleek design of glass, steel and leather, says designer Thomas Heyerdahl. - Mobile phones like Nokia 8800 Diamond Arte are increasingly becoming a piece of “jewellery” people use to express their own individuality.

The phone doesn’t only look good, it also holds all the features a consumer would expect today. In addition to the 3G capabilities and 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, the Nokia 8800 Diamond has 1GB built-in memory space. A unique silencing mechanism is activated when the phone is turned over, screen-side down.

Nokia 8800 Diamond series is based on the Nokia 8800 premium phone range. The final result is both exceptional and unique, and it is Nokia China’s first real diamond phone in Asia. The phone is only available in limited edition units, and will be made in two serial numbered versions; black for the Chinese market (1 – 999), and brown (1 – 300) for the Hong Kong / Taiwan market. Each set has its own individual number engraved on the back, and is presented in an exclusive limited edition numbered gift box.

The Nokia 8800 Diamond Arte will only be available in selected Nokia outlets in China, Hong Kong and Taiwan with an estimated retail price of CNY 48,888  /  HKD 49,888 / TWD 216,888

We are really excited to see how the response will be.
