Selling this vintage Pyrex 4 nesting mixing bowls (primary colors) set in the colors that started it all, yellow/green/red/blue AND the primary colors refrigerator dish set. This is a complete set of 4 bowls - 401, 402, 403 and 404 and the complete set of 8 pcs. refrigerator dishes with all the lids. All the bowls & dishes have the usual Pyrex backstamps. This is a fabulous start to your vintage PYREX collection all at once!
The set of bowls is in very good, gently used vintage condition, with very little visible use. PLEASE REMEMBER, THESE BOWLS, WHILE IN VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION, ARE OVER 50-60 YEARS OLD! THEY ARE NOT NEW. They are all very shiny and bright with absolutely no dishwasher damage! Please see the very few scratch marks to the paint in the pics with flash off taken against the light. The colors on the refrigerator dishes are very beautiful - they are shiny and bright with no dishwasher damage. There are very few scratches to the paint on the dishes. Please see pictures of the dishes taken without the flash against the light. The lid to the one of the red refrigerator dishes does have a tiny nick on the edge. Three of the lids have lines going 1/2 way across the top while the remaining 1 lid have lines going all the way across the top (THIS IS JUST A STYLE CHANGE IN THE LIDS - please see last pic for greater detail). The set displays very well!
Yellow - The yellow refrigerator dish has very few scratches to the paint, and is gorgeous. The lid has no nicks/chips or cracks. The yellow bowl is the largest, 4 qt. size bowl. Just a couple speck size scratches to paint as evidenced by the pic taken without the flash against the light. Some light silver utensil marks (from whisk or beater use) on the inside near the base. The outside of the bowl is beautifully shiny and bright. This bowl is a #404.
The green bowl is a 2-1/2 qt. size bowl (#403). Very few scratches to the paint. This is very Shiny and bright!
Red - this bowl is a beautiful color red. This is a 1-1/2 qt. size bowl, #402. There are very few scratches to the paint. The red bowls in the primary sets usually take the most beating and the scratches are usually very visible when held upto the light. This bowl displays very well and there are very few scratches evident when held upto the light. The refrigerator dishes have a few scratches to the paint and are a beautiful color red - very shiny and bright! One dish has a tiny nick on the top rim (please see close up). The lids are slightly different on the smallest dishes - one has ribs going all the way across while the other dish has ribs only on the sides. (2 Different styles - the other 3 lids have the lines only go half way across the top). One of the small lids has a tiny nick on 1 edge. (nothing major)
Blue - Just a couple speck size scratches to the paint. This is the 1-1/2 pint size bowl, #401. The refrigerator dish has very few scratches and is also very shiny and bright.
If sitting on a countertop or as in the photos, most finish marks are not noticeable. I take pictures without the flash, against the light in order to show any scratch marks in the paint or imperfections.
Please hand wash all vintage Pyrex pieces to preserve their shine and lustre. Use a mild soap with warm water and hand wash.
