Here is the opportunity to own a vintage black Parker 61/65 ballpoint pen with 1/5 12 CT Rolled Gold Consort Cap with a very rare wide cap band, fitted with a working medium blue Parker refill - Made in U.K.

The pen is in very good, fully functional condition, with some minor surface wear commensurate with age and careful use. There is a good "pearl" at the top of the cap, and the cap-activated mechanism works very well.

The cap markings are very unusual - both PARKER and MADE IN ENGLAND below the clip, which is secure, tight and bright, and 1/5 12 CT. R.GOLD a little further round the cap band and the Parker logo/emblem much further round - there are also three initials in "fancy" characters, which appear to be MAP (where the MADE IN ENGLAND marking is more usually found on the opposite side of the cap to PARKER).

This cap is the same overall length as the more usual Consort caps, but it has one less row of the patterned finish, resulting in the wider cap band, leaving a larger blank space for personal engraving.

It is thought that this item dates from the very late 1960's or early 1970's - the Consort models were only made for a few years.

I have more pens, pencils etc. to sell, so please take a look at my other items (and subsequent listings).
