We are able to offer your purchase at a real saving from its normal list price because it has been obtained at specialist auctions which provide ex-display, ex-demo, end of season clearance, undelivered items or open box customer returns..
When deciding whether an item is “new other” or “used” (as per Ebay’s published definitions) we assess its previous use by
· Running water through the machine to check for coffee grains
· Where applicable, removing the showerhead and gasket or examining the brewing unit to check for any coffee residue
A "new other" item may have very slight cosmetic flaws that are too small to photograph (e.g. water marking in the tank or scuffing on the drip tray cover). This does not indicate an item has been used but has been caused by handling within the supply chain.
We fully test the functionality of the coffee maker and are confident on dispatch that your item is working and we offer an excellent after sales service and are happy to assist with set up procedures and usage
Any significant marking (e.g. dents, deep scratches, paint removal) are photographed and included in the listing and item condition
Used items are cleaned and descaled as per the manufacturer’s handbook and any flaws are listed in the same way we do for a new other item
Where an item has its original packaging it will never be in “shop bought” condition but any major damage is noted in the item condition
Returns
If the machine appears faulty on delivery to you we will be happy to authorise a return- at our cost - but only if we first establish the exact nature of the fault. This is because the handbook instructions for many machines are sometimes not as clear as they might be. What is perceived as a fault can often be a set up error (machine not primed etc.) which can be resolved via a quick email or phone call.
Warranty
Your machine is offered with the benefit of a sellers warranty (12 Months for New/New other items ; 6 Months for Used items and 90 days for spare parts)
