Started in 1974 with the first model SLX, this series culminated after 6006, 6002, 6001 etc. in the top series 6008, starting in 1988. Later then in the modern 6008 AF.

Perfectly manufactured, top performance, extraordinary comfort (at that time sensational for medium formate cameras) and highest versatility were the characteristics of this series. Plus the fantastic lens range by Carl Zeiss and Schneider Kreuznach.
