A giant of a dog with its wrinkled skin and enormous head, this Neapolitan mastiff is calm by nature, but don’t provoke it…. This large, powerful, stocky dog originates from southern Italy. Its characteristic thick, wrinkled skin is covered with a smooth, short coat. It can be any of many colours (grey, black, brown or fawn) and can be brindle or have white patches on its chest and toes. With a size which can exceed 70 cm and weighing up to 70 kg, the Neapolitan mastiff is an excellent guard dog and a formidable deterrent.
